Install a cable clamp for each cable, as needed. Standard plastic electrical boxes do not have knockouts and contain internal cable clamps. Metal boxes may have internal clamps; if yours does not, install a locknut-type clamp for each cable. Insert the threaded end of the clamp through a knockout hole and secure the clamp inside the box with the nut. Tighten the nut with pliers.
Then again, you may also need to connect the cord. The exact method you need to follow is going to depend on whether you have a 3- or 4-prong cord. Also, keep in mind that these large appliances carry heavy voltages, so read up on the safety tips. For instance, plugging a loose cord into a receptacle to check the fit can give you a deadly shock. Don't do it!
